Everything you need to know

From your first tour to advanced API integrations — comprehensive guides for every level of expertise.

Getting Started

1

Create an account

Sign up for a free account at 3syxty.com/register. No credit card required. Your free plan includes 5 active tours, 500 MB of hosting, and full access to the editor.

2

Create a project

From the Studio dashboard, click New Project. Choose from three paths:

  • Create from scratch — start with a blank project and upload your 360° panoramas
  • Start from template — choose from professionally designed templates for your industry
  • Import existing tour — bring in projects from other platforms
3

Upload panoramas

Drag and drop your 360° images into the editor. 3Syxty Studio supports equirectangular JPEGs, PNGs, and HDR images up to 200 MB each. RAW files (Canon CR3, Nikon NEF, Sony ARW, Fuji RAF, DNG) are automatically processed.

The AI will automatically analyse each panorama — detecting room types, suggesting connections between scenes, and generating descriptions.

4

Add hotspots & interactivity

Click anywhere in a panorama to place a hotspot. Configure its type — navigation link, information panel, video popup, audio trigger, URL redirect, quiz question, or custom action. Style it with icons, animations, and labels.

5

Customise the viewer

Use the Skin Designer to customise the tour's user interface — navigation buttons, menu panels, logo placement, colour scheme, and animations. Choose from pre-built skins or design your own from scratch with the drag-and-drop builder.

Publish

Click Publish and your tour is live in seconds — hosted on our global CDN with automatic SSL. Share the URL, embed it on your website, or download a self-contained package to host on your own infrastructure.

Core Concepts

Workspace

The top-level container for your organisation. A workspace owns projects, assets, members, and billing. Each user can belong to multiple workspaces.

Project

A virtual tour. A project contains scenes, hotspots, a skin configuration, analytics data, and publishing settings. Projects belong to a workspace.

Scene

A single viewpoint within a tour — typically a 360° panorama, but can also be a flat image, video panorama, or 3D model. Scenes are connected via navigation hotspots.

Hotspot

An interactive element placed within a scene. Hotspots can trigger navigation to another scene, display information panels, play media, open URLs, launch quizzes, or execute custom actions.

Skin

The user interface overlay of the published tour — buttons, menus, navigation controls, branding elements. Designed in the WYSIWYG Skin Designer or customised via CSS/JS.

Asset

Any media file uploaded to a project — panoramas, images, videos, audio files, 3D models, and documents. Assets are managed in the Asset Library.

Publishing

The act of deploying a tour for public or private viewing. Publishing generates optimised static output (HTML, JS, assets) served via CDN or downloadable as a self-contained package.

API Key

A scoped authentication token for accessing the REST API programmatically. Keys can be restricted to specific operations and rotated at any time.
